Syrian media reported on Sunday night that Israeli forces had crossed into the border strip north of Quneitra, setting up a checkpoint and firing several illumination flares in the area.
According to the reports, the Israeli forces advanced about 6.5 kilometers beyond the border strip, using three tanks and several military vehicles, reaching the road that connects Khan Arnabeh and Jabba, north of Quneitra.
The media added that “the Israeli forces entered through the village of al-Samadaniyah al-Sharqiyah, and set up a checkpoint at the site of an old post known as al-Suqari checkpoint, located at the intersection between the Khan Arnabeh–Jabba road and the Peace Highway (Autostrade al-Salam) leading to the capital, Damascus.”
