The Syrian Civil Defense announced that it has brought under control a fire at the historic Saladin Castle and the surrounding forests in the Al-Haffa area of Lattakia countryside, noting that the fire has entered the cooling and monitoring phase, with continued follow-up on the situation.

Television Syria reported on Saturday that Abdel Kafi Kiyal, director of the Civil Defense Directorate in Lattakia, said that civil defense teams from the Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management dealt with several scattered fires in the area, but the fire at Saladin Castle was the most difficult among them.
