Syrian Civil Defense teams rescued five workers who were trapped under the rubble after the collapse of part of the roof of the Saray building (the old Ministry of Interior building) in Al-Marjah Square, downtown Damascus, on Wednesday.

The incident occurred during renovation work on the building, when the roof partially collapsed.

The Civil Defense explained that two workers remain trapped under the debris, as search and rescue operations continue, facing major challenges due to the risk of further collapses during the operation.
