Putin and Sharaa discuss developing Russian-Syrian relations

Sky News Arabia sources confirmed that Syrian President Ahmad al-Shar’a will visit Moscow today, Wednesday, to hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The two leaders are expected to discuss economic issues related to investment, the status of Russian military bases in Syria, and the rearmament of the new Syrian army.

In Moscow, the Kremlin stated that the talks between Putin and al-Shar’a, who is visiting on an official working trip, will focus on developing Russian-Syrian relations.

The Kremlin explained in a statement that the discussions will address ways to strengthen bilateral relations and the situation in the Middle East.
