The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced on Sunday the arrest of Ali Fallara, head of a terrorist cell linked to remnants of the former regime.
The ministry stated: “The Internal Security Directorate in Tartus, in cooperation with the Counter-Terrorism Branch and based on precise information and intensive field monitoring, has arrested the criminal Ali Fallara, responsible for a terrorist cell linked to remnants of the former regime.“
It added: “The criminal is involved in planning terrorist operations targeting Internal Security and Ministry of Defense sites.“

The ministry noted that “preliminary investigations showed that the aforementioned criminal was planning terrorist acts in coordination with the criminal Ghiath Dalla, including recruiting elements hostile to the Syrian state.“
It added: “It was proven that the criminal was involved in committing serious violations against civilians during his previous work in the Palestine Branch, including kidnapping, extortion, and murder.“
The ministry also indicated that “during the search operation, weapon and ammunition stockpiles were found pre-prepared in the Darikish area forests, intended for use in targeting Internal Security and Ministry of Defense sites.“
Finally, it stated: “The criminal has been referred to the competent judicial authorities to complete investigations and take the necessary legal measures against him. The ministry reaffirms its full commitment to maintaining the security and stability of the nation.“
