Since last Sunday, Storm “Norma” has been hitting the Palestinian territories, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon, causing a significant drop in temperatures, along with heavy rain and snow. The storm struck the Levant region on the night between Saturday and Sunday, following a polar low-pressure system, and further temperature drops are expected in the coming hours.
In Syria, the Meteorology Directorate forecast that temperatures will remain 2 to 5 degrees Celsius below average due to the country being affected by a polar low-pressure system.
