A 7.9-magnitude earthquake struck southern Turkey early on Monday morning, and was felt by residents in Cyprus, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, and Egypt. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers near the city of Kahramanmaraş.
